AFF Gets Its 8th Music Fix with Music & Image

Film festivals benefit from the hard work and dedication of their impassioned staffs in order to succeed year after year in growing audience and quality of film but they are not alone.  Outside companies and efforts also play a large role in this process, like East Coast Music Association with the Atlantic Film Festival.  Through a combination in ideals and cooperation these two organizations coalesce to produce the 8th Edition of the Music & Image Compilation.  Learn more below:

The Atlantic Film Festival, in partnership with the East Coast Music Association, announce the production of the eighth edition of the Music & Image Compilation. This promotional compilation will continue to build upon the goals of the Music & Image Program by exposing Atlantic Canadian artists to opportunities in the film, television, advertising and gaming sectors. The Music & Image compilation will be distributed to key industry players, in both the national and international marketplace, including approximately 1000 delegates attending the 32nd Atlantic Film Festival and Strategic Partners Conference as well as approximately 1500 delegates at the 2013 East Coast Music Week in Halifax, NS.

APPLICATION CRITERIA:

  • Open to all genres of music
  • Artist(s) must have released at least one professionally manufactured CD
  • Artist(s) must control master (track/song usage)
  • Artist(s) must control publishing
  • Artist(s) must have professional press kit/bio/EPK/web presence
  • Previous music placement experience in film, television or new media is an asset but not a requirement

A jury of industry professionals from both the music and media industries will consider each track based on the following…

SELECTION CRITERIA:

  • Suitability for visual content placement
  • Song Structure
  • Strength & Suitability of Vocal & Lyrical Content
  • Quality of the Recording
  • Export Readiness

Artists selected for the CD will be contacted and required to provide a high quality mp3 file.  A Licensing Agreement will be issued outlining the terms and conditions of this recording.  Please note, this CD Compilation is for promotional use only and is not for resale.
