The Zen of Bennett presents an intimate portrait of Tony Bennett’s creative process within the context of his most recent recording project, DUETS II, released last fall on the occasion of his 85th birthday. In first person narrative, the film is a reflection of his 60-year career as he shares philosophies on life, lessons learned, social conscience and his passion for art and music.
Filmed by Academy Award-winning cinematographer Dion Beebe, the film beautifully reveals Bennett’s creative process as he records with artists including John Mayer, Lady Gaga, Andrea Bocelli, Aretha Franklin and the late Amy Winehouse. THE ZEN OF BENNETT was conceived, created and produced by son and manager Danny Bennett as a “love letter to his father.” Explains the younger Bennett, “I wanted to share my unique perspective of the man and his creative process… Less of a historical documentary and more of an inside-out perspective on Tony’s life – an intimate conversation about family, art, music, nature, war and peace.”
The Sept. 18 screening of ‘The Zen of Bennett’ is FREE. Tickets are not needed.

Check out “After the Factory.” The film gives a look into the lives of the people living in the devastated industrial towns of Detroit, Michigan and Lodz, Poland. It shows the effects of the fallen economy on these two cities, but goes beyond the usual representation of homelessness, poverty, and crime. Its point of focus is the recovery of these cities and how their communities are tackling these problems and making a difference.
Shown at 6 pm on Wednesday, Sept. 19 at the Cornell Fine Arts Museum at Rollins College and at 6 pm Thursday, Sept. 20 at Cobb Plaza Cinema Cafe in downtown Orlando. For more information go to afterthefactoryfilm.com
