The San Luis Obispo International Film Festival’s King Vidor Award will be presented to actor John Hawkes at the Festival’s award ceremony on Saturday, March 9 at the Fremont Theatre in San Luis Obispo. 2007 King Vidor Award recipient James Cromwell will present the award.

John Hawkes recently starred in The Sessions, for which he received rave reviews, a Golden Globe nomination and Best Actor award at the  Independent Spirit Awards less than two weeks ago. He was nominated for an Oscar for his performance in Winter’s Bone, co-starring with Jennifer Lawrence.
