*** 12 features and 6 short films supported by public funds, contained in sections of film meeting, to be held from 22 to 31 July
The International Film Festival Guanajuato (GIFF, for its acronym in English), will celebrate its nineteenth edition with 39 Mexican films, of which 18 have resources the Mexican Film Institute (IMCINE), through various incentives and support which grants to promote film production in the country.
A total of 12 feature films and 6 short films among fictions, documentaries and animations- represent IMCINE participation in Mexican film sections of the meeting, to be held from July 22 to 31 in San Miguel de Allende and Guanajuato Capital.
With regard to short stories may see recent productions of the Institute as Terry , Ulises Pérez Mancilla, you are not dreaming me , George Y. Leyva Robles Cats , Alejandro Rios, Wedding Baba , Lucia Carreras, I hope you’re bie n, Lucia Diaz Alvarez; and Casucka , Ivan Puig and Dalia Huerta.
Mexican feature films in competition are short distances , Alejandro Guzman Epitaph of Yulene Olaizola and Ruben Imaz, Gringo , Jose Luis Solis, Charity , Marcelino Islands; Pan American Machinery , Joaquin del Paso; and Leaf Blower , Alejandro Iglesias Mendizabal.
In the field of documentary exhibit The charro Toluquill ; a, Jose Villalobos Romero Plaza de la solitude , Maya Goded; and Resurrection of Eugenio Polgovsky; while Mr. Pig , Diego Luna; and Size matters , Rafael Lara, will have its premiere on duty outside competition.

Also, the presence of IMCINE within the GIFF is enriched by the Forum Bilateral Mexico + Japan, a meeting of cooperation and dialogue between the film community of our country and the guest of honor in every edition of the event, in this case the Japan.
This meeting is the main aim of opening new perspectives on Mexican cinema, from the context that lives the Japanese cinema in terms of production and distribution. In addition, it seeks the possibility of establishing a broader partnership between the two countries.
The big GIFF held its 19th edition to have 204 films in its programming, the largest in its history. Tributes to Patricia Reyes Spíndola, Evangelina Elizondo, Demian Bichir and Dolores Heredia, complement the activities this year, in which events of musical character and functions of virtual reality are also contemplated.
